How to Install and Use KOReader
KOReader installation and usage steps
Install KOReader
Open Settings
Tablet Home > Top-left "Menu" > Bottom-left "Paperweight" > Apps
Installation
1. Click Install
In the "KOReader App" panel, click the "Install" button to begin installation.
Installation runs in the background and may take a few minutes. Please be patient.
2. Wait for Installation
The status will show "Installing..." during the process. Keep the page open.
3. Launch KOReader
After installation, click the "Launch" button.
Launching KOReader will trigger a device restart. Make sure to save your current work.
Enter KOReader
After the device restarts, enter KOReader:
Home > Top-left Menu > Apps > KOReader
Using KOReader
Read Native Documents
KOReader can directly access and read all documents from the reMarkable native app.
Transfer via Flash Transfer
After enabling KOReader, Flash Transfer will enable the "Direct to KOReader" feature:
- Select files to transfer on the Flash Transfer web page
- Choose the "Direct to KOReader" option
- Files will be transferred directly to the KOReader app directory
App Bar Operations
In KOReader, long-press the top of the screen to show the top bar, from left to right:
- Badge mode — Becomes a small movable badge card, appears at top-right by default
- Minimize — Minimize KOReader to background
- Window/Fullscreen — Run in windowed or fullscreen mode
- Close to badge — Exit app and become a badge card, tap to relaunch
- Exit app — Close the application
