Using the Chinese Input Method
Paperweight's Chinese input method supports Pinyin input.
Basic Operations
Typing Chinese
- Type Pinyin using the keyboard
- Candidates appear in the candidate bar
- Select a candidate to complete input
Candidate Operations
| Action | Key/Gesture |

| Page through | Period (.), Comma (,) or swipe the candidate bar |
| Select candidate | Space bar or tap the candidate |
| Input raw English | Enter key |
Selecting Candidates
- Number keys 1-9 — Select the corresponding numbered candidate
- Space bar — Select the first candidate
- Tap candidate — Touch to select
Input Mode Switching
While typing, you can:
- Press Enter to input the raw English text as-is
- Press Escape to cancel current input
Candidate Bar
Hardware Keyboard
When using a Bluetooth or other hardware keyboard, the candidate bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
Virtual Keyboard
When using the on-screen virtual keyboard, candidates appear above the keyboard.
The candidate bar size can be adjusted in the "Readability" settings.
