Chinese Language Support
Paperweight adds comprehensive Chinese language support to reMarkable devices, including Chinese system interface, Chinese input method, and Chinese document display.
Supported Features
- Chinese System Interface — Full localization of system menus and settings
- Chinese Input Method — Smart Chinese input with Pinyin support
- Chinese Document Display — Support for Chinese PDF, EPUB documents
- Simplified/Traditional — Both Simplified and Traditional Chinese supported
How to Enable
Chinese System Interface
Go to Settings > Language & Keyboard and select Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese.
Chinese Input Method
Enable through either method:
- System Settings — Switch input language to Simplified Chinese in the on-screen keyboard settings
- Virtual Keyboard — Switch to Simplified Chinese from the language selector at the bottom-left of the virtual keyboard
After enabling the Chinese input method, the candidate bar will automatically appear when using a hardware keyboard.
