Sync Management
The Sync Management feature allows you to control the reMarkable official cloud sync service and clear sync failure states.
Features
Official Cloud Sync Toggle
You can enable or disable the official cloud sync service at any time:
- Enable — Documents will automatically sync to reMarkable cloud
- Disable — Stop syncing with the cloud
Disabling cloud sync won't delete already-synced cloud documents, it only stops new sync operations.
Clear Sync Failure State
When documents show sync failure markers, use this feature to clear them.
Open Settings
Tablet Home > Top-left "Menu" > Bottom-left "Paperweight" > Sync Management
Use Cases
- Want to use the device completely offline
- Long-term use without network access
- Need to resolve issues caused by sync failures
